Scaredy Cat Bingo is my favorite reading challenge. It just has so many great categories for urban fantasy books. Created by Cats Luv Coffee Book Reviews, it runs all year, but I like to do it in October because it has such cute Halloween vibes.

Since it does run all year, I don’t feel bad pre-adding a few books that I finished earlier this year before October starts.

I wrote a whole post about the parts of Burn the Dark that scared me, so it definitely fits the category.

Witching Hour

Spells, Curses, or good old-fashioned witchcraft. 

There’s plenty of good old-fashioned witchcraft in By Earth. As I said in my review, I like how grounded and realistic the magic in this book is.
